  • Hi,

I export PNG current poses regularly in Spine with multiple skeletons in use and others being hidden.

Now that the stable release of 4.0 is out, it's lead to a bug whereby when you want to export a current pose of several skeletons together, it also shows all the skeletons within my project file that are hidden.

Can you please fix this asap as it's prohibiting a lot of my work. Spine forced me to upgrade from a previous 4.0 beta version I was running that worked fine to this version this morning, so it's rather frustrating.

    Regards

    Jonathan

  • Hi,

Thanks for contacting us via the Spine forums.

I checked your animation portfolio out and some of your work looks very cool. However I am looking for some substantial Spine work demos that you have created for full animations. As you can see our games are heavily animated so I'd like to see if you have a lot of experience animating rather lengthy scenes where multiple characters interact on a scene in more complex ways. At the very least a character portfolio showing many actions created in Spine for that character.

If you can provide me with a portfolio that shows this in detail it would be something we can make a judgement call on.

    Regards

  • No prbs Nate,

Just as a follow up I was experimenting further with a colleague last night and we found the bug only occurs when exporting several skeletons together as a PNG file when those skeletons have skins. If you just export one skeleton the skin shows completely.

I find this feature really useful because I am using it to set up poses for promotional material that I would otherwise find too fiddly in programs like Adobe Illustrator with characters.

  • Hi,

Thanks for getting back to me.

I wish the problem was as simple as overlooking an unchecked box but export settings are ticked for skeletons and skins.

Ill send across my project files for you to take a look thanks. It happens in more than one project file and in more than one skeleton and skin.

    Regards

    Jonathan

    Hi,

I sent you a sample project for you to check out, I am still waiting for a reply. I am having the same issue in many projects.

    Please advise?

  • Hi,

I am trying to export multiple skeletons as a single PNG screenshot - I've done this many times before and it works fine.

The only problem I have ever had is with skeletons that have skins, they do not show in the export png image nor in the preview window of the export. Take for example the screenshots attached. Here I have a dog with two skins and a spider logo with two skins. These two skeletons do not appear in the export .png.

Any help would me much appreciated?

    Regards

    Jonathan

  • Thanks for the quick reply, that was so obvious regarding the filter!

  • Hi,

I am wondering how I can hide event labels from showing on the visual screen when I am playing an animation(s) in Spine. I am trying to screen record animations but as I have a tonne of audio events within the animation, many labels appear on the screen as the animation is running that ruin the recording.
