More Problems with Improved File Dialog

I posted about issues with the improved file dialogs before. Those were largely solved, however it has still been behaving wonkily since then. I couldn't quite make a reproducible bug, so I just let it be. That is, until today:

Selecting the browse button and choosing a folder does not dismiss the Image Files window. I wouldn't think this is intentional because it correctly applies the folder selection in the images pane, yet nothing appears in the Image Files window.

Reproduction steps:

Select the images node in the hierarchy.
Click the favorites button next to path.
Clear the list by right clicking each entry.
Click browse and select a folder.

I'm on 3.7.09-beta Essential using Windows 10.

Selecting a folder from the Image Files favorites window does not work. Or at least this time it doesn't. It wasn't a problem last week.

-edit: Strike that, that's my fault. Folder is empty. Carry on, nothing to see on problem 2.

Alright! it looks like the problem is the fact that you're using absolute paths instead of ones relative to the project (which I'd suggest you use if possible because they keep your projects well organized and self-contained)
Thanks for providing a gif and steps, because they were both a big help in tracking the bug down and reproducing it.

Ahh that makes sense. I think they were only absolute because I started a new project. Thank you.
