Beta versions

So, should I update Spine each time it asks me to? Is there a reason for having "beta updates" checkbox in settings? How do they work, don't you check versions in beta until you release them as stable? I've just wasted an hour (until I saw you updated Spine twice today) cause of "attachments not being exported" bug, which is something that should be obviously checked before releasing the version as stable. 🙁

I don't want to be rude, but if you don't check them, I should probably wait until some version is "latest" for a few days - then it's probably stable.

It was a long wait from 3.4.02 to 3.5. Since 3.5 we've been doing non-beta releases more often to get you both fixes and new features faster. It would be safer for us to only put fixes in 3.5 stable updates, but we snuck in some bigger but relatively low risk features that don't affect runtime support, such as the new UI graphics. We do check our releases, but accidents can still occur. The attachments not being exported issue was unfortunate and should not have happened, please accept our apologies. We'll start the 3.6 betas soon and 3.5 won't see new features, only fixes.
