Suddenly I can't open Spine.
I tried deleting and re-downloading/installing, but I keep getting the message: "Sorry, the update has failed."

More over - can't launch spine without internet as well, it just tries to connect to update server.

However it does raise some questions. If we cant even use the program when you guys run into trouble like this, it may have severe consequences for our team if the timing is bad (deadlines and patches, hotfixes etc). If the version was set to a specific one and not latest, would we get the same error though?

Normally a server issue would not prevent Spine from running. This was a special combination of our (idiot) mistake and a server configuration problem. It should never happen again. Let's all blame the new guy, Mario! 😃

We did not test setting a specific version, as we were focused on fixing the issue quickly. Users did report that adding a version.txt file fixed it (which is how Spine sets a specific version).
