A Quiver of Crows - PC/Mac/Linux - Steam Greenlight
Hey Peoples,
We just launched the Steam Greenlight campaign of our second game made with Spine. We've been working on this for 7 months now and if it wasn't for Spine we would not be anywhere near this far along.
A Quiver of Crows is a twin-stick shmup set in a grim world cursed by demons and ghouls. The most notable features of the game include:
- Co-op twin-stick 360 degree action
- Organic flesh and bones environment rather than the more common ships and outer space
- Upgradable weapons, bombs, and shields inspired by traditional shmups
- Enemies that hunt you down rather than follow preset patterns
- Satisfying physics - watch destroyed enemies ragdoll and pile up as they fall to the ground
On the tech end of things: - We integrated Box2D with our Spine animated characters as discussed here. We integrated the physics bi-directionally (mostly) - the characters can affect the environment and the environment and bullets can affect the character.
- In this article we discuss our overall development setup.
Please check out our Steam Greenlight campaign and let us know if you have any questions, feedback, or whatevers!

Hey All,
It's been a while since I updated. The game's been in development 18 months now and it's coming along nicely. Best way to show you our progress is with a developer let's play, so here it is:
Looks like fun Would love to see it with some PostFX like bloom shader to make it look a little more flashy on the weapon effects.
Thanks Shiu!
And thanks for the feedback on the particles.
What a weird and awesome looking thing
