[libgdx] stripped meshes not working?

So im exporting trivial skeleton with single mesh, spine 3.7.84, libgdx runtime 3.7.83.1.
I was promised that i will be able to strip whitespace in packer, i feel lied to 🙁
Is there some trick to get it to work?

It was just a trick. Early April fool's day! :devil:

You need to check strip whitespace X and Y in the packer settings, then you need to pack the atlas as part of data export, or check Current project in the packer settings when running it separately.

How are you exporting your atlas? What is the second image? It looks stripped to me. Note whitespace stripping results in rectangular regions. If you expected polygonal packing, we don't have that yet.

The second on is in game, parts of other assets are visible.
I tried exporting the atlas both from spine and cli gdx packer with stripping enabled. The atlas output from both looks identical minus the paths.
It doesnt look like there is anything about stripping in the exported skeleton.json. Probably missing something stupid. Or im misunderstanding what it is supposed to be doing.

After some sleep, another coffee and some testing it looks like it doesnt work quite the way i hoped.
In my use case i have a bunch of part variants that i want to animate with same mesh. I guess ill keep not stripping relevant images.

Its been a while since i investigated how to do what i want, so its possible that theres a better way to do this now.
Basically linked meshes with differently sized images that id like to be white space stripped like other things. Its not critical for me, plenty of space left in the atlas as is.
