Regarding this, isn't it better to keep your project organized in the images folder of your project, rather than risk scattering images from all across your computer? We allow drag and drop to import json files but will have to ask Nate regarding images.
You can import several skeletons inside the same Spine project, or you can have more Spine instances where the projects are entirely separate from one another. Maybe you're looking for option 1? Do you have a special use for the projects you keep open at the same time?
That is good way to have organized project but as you said, project. When I do something really small or just concepting to only show this I could just drag and drop several textures into Spine instead to create folder, drop there textures and open that folder in the Spine. Meaby that isnt so much work but when I was working in the DragonBones software it was really useful 🙂
Do I have special use for the project to keep then open in the same time? Well... yes. For example when I am working on something and I have to show another project for someone, I have to alt tab my project, then open new, load new project and have 2 windows opened. Sometimes I have to open 3 Spines when have to show more. Of course I can open project by adding it as an another skeleton but then I have to switch off visibility and keep in mind to dont make a mistake clearing them to back to my main project.
Keeping project separately in the different tabs I can load them and choose project working in the one window without opening several windows. Several windows just makes mess on the screen imho same as several skeletons in the one project. In the drawing programs also have one window with tabs, same with DragonBones software for 2d animations. You can see tabs on the screen same as ruller.
