We are trying to make a hook shot mechanic with our main character and we want him to be able to rotate his arm and hand towards the position of the place you can hook towards and activate the item. How could we go about this? We were trying to move the IK towards an object in spine, but the hand looked weird and didn't aim towards the object.

Hey, this is more of a rigging question than a Unity runtime question, so I'll get some of the others to chime in.
I vaguely recall this coming up before and someone posted a good sample rig, or an illustration on how to achieve it.
