I'm pretty new to this software. If I had a few different hairstyles, what's the best way to implement different hair movement when the character walks? I hope to not have to redo the full animation for every hairstyle, instead do something with attachments, but have each hairstyle move differently when the character walks, with some styles bouncing more than others.

Hi, welcome to the Spine forum!

You can use Skins to move various looking characters with the same animations.
Skins - Spine User Guide

To make the difference of the bouncing for some hair styles, you can adjust the weight of each attachment. First, animate bones for hairs with the mesh attachments you want to bounce bigger than others. Then, bind mesh attachments for other hairstyles to those bones, and when setting the weights, assign more weight to the parent bone of the hairs, such as head bone. This will make the hair attachments do not 100% follow the bones, so you can make the difference of the bounce for each hair style.

If my explanation is unclear or you have any further questions, don't hesitate to let me know!
