Hi,

I was recommended to look at Spine for creating animated characters from the Corona forums. I want to create the animation of a boy throwing an object. Does anyone know where to get the individual images for the body parts to animate? Or would i take an existing character and cut/save each part needed? Once I see that i can create a character with Spine I will be glad to purchase it.

Thanks,

Warren

You may draw a character:
- in Mypaint - remember to put every part on different layer, so it's easy to cut into peaces,
- in Inkscape - then export to PNG every part of the body of the character separately.
For Inkscape you can find some public domain characters on openclipart.org but they might be hard to cut into peaces.
It will be hard though if you can't draw. Even if you find a character that is ready you need to fix the parts where body parts join etc.
You can also buy characters from istock and similar pages and cut them into peaces (vector images will be easier but might require Adobe Illustrator).

Thanks. I played with the example character in it already. It would be great is there were characters available to download or even buy. I want to create a boy like in the example and make an animation of him throwing. I'll see when i can do with this.
