I'm experiencing an odd bug during one of my many animations. For the animation, we have a grocery basket sprite that we enable that the player rides in. The cart exit animation shows stretched parts of the cart that follow the player. Sometimes it will actually show images that are not even part of the animation and are just "close" to the rendered sprite on the sprite sheet that comes from Spine. For example, we have masks you can wear in the game and they're close to the shopping cart in the sprite sheet, sometimes the masks will show up in this "stretched" render of the cart exit animation. This ONLY happens with this cart exit animation.

Here is an image of what it looks like:

Here are my texture import settings:

Thank you for assisting!

Which versions of the Spine Editor and the spine-unity runtime (name of the unitypackage or see version.txt file) are you using?

I'm using Spine Editor 3.8.99 Pro and then the spine unity runtime looks like 3.8.0 if I look at the package.json file for my unity/Spine folder

I'm not sure how much this helps, but also here are my pack settings:

Please be sure to use the latest 3.8 spine-unity package from the download page to include all 3.8 bugfixes.

If the problem still persists, could you please send us a minimal Unity project that still shows the issue, as a zip package to contact@esotericsoftware.com (shortly mentioning this thread URL so that we know the context)? Then we can have a look at what's going wrong.

Okay. So I updated the Spine Runtime and it is still busted. I created a bare bones project that samples the issue and was able to replicate it. The project is 21MB and zipped, however gmail will not allow me to send you a zipped file as it thinks it could be a virus. I removed the extension but it still doesn't like that. How can I get this project to you?

EDIT
I uploaded it to my Google drive and sent a shared link. Please let me know if this is sufficient.

You have sent a built executable of your game instead of a Unity project. Please send us a link to a Unity project which we can inspect in Unity.

Whoops! Sorry about that. I uploaded the project and sent it to you again.

Thanks for sending the Unity project. Unfortunately it seems like a strange bug indeed. Could you please also send us your Spine project and input attachment images (that are used in the Spine project). This way we can be sure to test any re-export on the same basis.

We just found the cause of this issue and commited a bugfix to the branches 3.8, 4.0 and 4.1-beta. Normally we don't do updates for 3.8 any more, but for this nasty issue I made an exception.

New unitypackages are available for download here as usual:

Thanks again for reporting!

Killer work Harald! This is why we're customers and love Esoteric. It's the customer support. Thanks again for flipping this around so quickly. With our release of our game on Steam right around the corner, I was worried this bug was going to make it in.

On another note, I actually forgot I had an open thread with the same issue 5 months ago and I forgot to follow up. That thread was here:

Graphical issue when mix and matching skins

This is fixed with this patch as well. Thank you!
